The Baleares
International
College
has been in operation since 1957 and serves the foreign community in
Mallorca. Pupils are accepted from the age of 3 and remain at the school
until they have completed their advance level examinations. Teaching staff
are fully qualified in their subjects, the great majority having completed
their training in Britain. The school follows the National Curriculum of
England and Wales, and in addition includes Spanish Language (from age
Nursery), German language (from age 6 for native speakers and age 9 for non-native) and French language (from 14).
BIC is located on the edge of open countryside in the beautiful area of Sa Porrassa
in Calvia, in the South West of Mallorca, accessed by an excellent road
network, on our newly acquired and fully refurbished premises. The Baleares
International College has a large number of excellent facilities including;
indoor sports centre, playing fields with football and rugby pitches, a
swimming pool, all-weather basketball, football and volleyball courts,
running track, a brand new state-of-the ICT suite, library, science
laboratories, a multi-media room and air-conditioned classrooms equipped
with interactive whiteboards to support pupils' learning environment.
Lunches are cooked in our own
kitchen, and are both nutritional and balanced.
The academic programme prepares pupils for international IGCSE and A-Level
examinations, which will enable them to enter a variety of universities around the world.

College is accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Education based upon
inspection by the British HMI and is a member of the National Association of
British Schools in Spain (NABSS).
