BALEARES INTERNATIONAL
SCHOOL

The Baleares International School has been in operation since 1957 and serves the foreign community in Mallorca. Pupils are accepted from the age of 3 and remain at the school until they have completed their advance level examinations. Teaching staff are fully qualified in their sunjects, the great majority having completed their training in Britain. The school follows the National Curriculum of England and Wales, and in addition includes Spanish Language (from age Nursery), German language (from age 8 for nationals and age 10 for non nationals) and French language (from 14).

Located in the Palma suburb of San Agustin, the B.I.S. occupies three acres and includes a library, science laboratories, computer centre, art room, music room and dining hall, and possesses a sports court. Games are taught at a local fully-equipped sports centre.

Lunches are cooked in our own kitchen, and are both nutritional and balanced.

The academic programme prepares pupils for international IGCSE and A-Level examinations, which will enable them to enter a variety of English speaking Universities around the world.

The Baleares International School is accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Education based upon inspection by the British HMI, and its academic programme is also suited to the completion of credits towards a graduation that permits pupils to enter the American system of education.

Interested parents should contact the Registrar and wherever possible come to visit the school. We would be delighted to show you around the facilities and meet the teachers.
